Data Deletion

1. Overview

You have the right to request deletion of your MedSchool Companion account and all personal data associated with it. This page explains how to make that request and what happens after you do.

2. How to Request Deletion

To delete your account and personal data, email our support team at support@medschoolcompanion.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".

Please include:

• The email address associated with your account
• A brief confirmation that you want your account and data permanently deleted

We will verify the request comes from the account owner before processing it.

3. What Gets Deleted

When we process your request, we permanently delete the personal data tied to your account, including:

• Your account profile and login credentials
• Uploaded documents and generated study materials (notebooks, summaries, quizzes, flashcards, podcasts)
• Usage history and preferences

4. Timeline

We process account deletion requests within 30 days. Once complete, your data is permanently removed from our active systems and cannot be recovered.

5. Data We May Retain

We may retain a limited amount of information where required by law or for legitimate business purposes, such as records of transactions and payments needed for tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention obligations. Any retained data is kept only as long as necessary and is not used to re-identify you for other purposes.
